A Few "New" Recordings

6 April 2020

It's been pointed out that I've been terrible about telling people when I post new music recordings.

Look—I don't make them for anyone but myself. Neither the recordings nor my interest in music is a "product" or something I promote for the benefit of myself or anyone else. I don't perform this stuff in real life, on the Internet, or anywhere. I don't sell, market, or in any way profit from these recordings. They are not a career or even a side-hustle. I simply enjoy making them. Some people watch movies and television; I fiddle around with guitars. If someone stumbles across the recordings and likes (or dislikes) something, great. If they want to ask about/talk about them, great. But I'm not going to waste my breath trumpeting their existence because…really, I have enough to do, right?

So, here I go trumpeting their existence so certain people will get off my back for a while. In the last year or so I did versions of these:

Big Sky
Big Sky
Originally by The Kinks
Last Time Around
Last Time Around
Originally by The Del-Vetts
Goin’ Back
Goin’ Back
Carole King/Gerry Goffin
Die, Die My Darling
Die, Die My Darling

(Do You Wanna) By My Dog
(Do You Wanna) Be My Dog
Originally by The Stooges

If you're sincerely curious, new stuff typically just appears at the top of the music page when it's ready. Lower on the music page are probably a bunch of things you never knew about. Sometimes I go back and tweak things later. No, I don't tell anybody about that, either.
